Advanced DOT Compliance Manager® (4-Day Course) - $2000

The course is an advanced continuation of the DOT Compliance Manager training and is available only to students who have successfully completed the Week One DOT Compliance Manager course. It builds directly on the foundational material and shifts the focus from understanding regulations to managing higher-risk compliance areas that most often lead to violations, out-of-service orders, and increased liability. This course is designed for professionals who already have a working knowledge of DOT compliance and are responsible for overseeing, enforcing, or defending compliance programs.

Week Two expands into Hazardous Materials Compliance and Commercial Vehicle Inspection requirements, two of the most enforcement-heavy areas in DOT oversight. Participants receive practical guidance on HazMat applicability, training, documentation, and common enforcement mistakes, along with in-depth instruction on vehicle inspections and how mechanical compliance directly impacts CSA scores, roadside inspections, and audits.

Commercial Vehicle & Brake Inspector Certification (3-Day Course) - $1250

This course provides students with detailed equipment training requirements to perform federal commercial annual inspections, brake inspection, and brake readjustment services for motor carriers as permitted. The course consists of classroom training and hands-on inspection training with a truck and trailer. The course covers the commercial motor vehicle equipment standards of Part 393 and maintenance standards of Part 396. *Disclaimer: Not all states allow or accept self-inspection.*

 

Students completing this course will be qualified to conduct the following tasks:

- Federal Annual Commercial Vehicle Inspection (*as permitted by FMCSA Part 396 and accepted by your own state law)

DOT General Hazardous Materials (3-Day Course) - $1250

This course will provide motor carriers a basic understanding of transporting hazardous materials in commerce. Students will learn how the applicability of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations applies to hazmat transportation and the additional requirements by hazmat motor carriers and hazmat drivers license and endorsements. Students will learn the key applicable parts of the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration Regulations Parts (100-185), including hazardous materials registration permits, 101 Table, shipping papers, placarding, labeling, markings, and cargo tank testing.

Crash Investigation for Motor Carriers (2-Day Course) - $650

This course will prepare motor carriers to face the inevitable occurrence of a traffic crash incident and the actions to take in the following days such as employee care, vehicle preservation, employee statement taking, and when DOT Post-Accident Drug Testing is required. Discussion includes criminal liability that drivers may face following a crash in addition to their civil liability. The civil litigation process will be covered in length for participants to understand how a company initiated investigation, including effective photo-taking and evidence collection methods, can reduce insurance settlement amounts. The entire civil proceedings process will be discussed with emphasis on courtroom or deposition testimony by company personnel and the tactics used by plaintiff attorneys. Participants will understand how a poor or weak DOT Safety Compliance Program can affect civil litigation.
