This two-day course provides the knowledge and practical instruction needed to qualify as a commercial vehicle annual inspector under 49 CFR §396.19 and understand the brake inspector qualification requirements of 49 CFR §396.25. Participants will learn commercial vehicle equipment standards, inspection procedures, brake system requirements, common out-of-service violations, and proper annual inspection documentation. *Not all states accept self-inspection if subject to 396.23.*

Participants will learn the purpose of the regulations, common equipment violations, out-of-service conditions, and practical strategies for improving vehicle compliance and reducing enforcement actions.
Using photographs, diagrams, videos, and real-world examples, this course helps attendees better understand what inspectors look for during roadside inspections and how to identify potential compliance issues before they become costly violations.
DOT Audit & Compliance Review Workshop (2 Days)
