This course focuses on the evaluation of commercial vehicle equipment and the standards used to determine compliance during roadside inspections. The participants will gain a clear understanding of how critical components—including brakes, tires, lighting, suspension, and coupling systems—are inspected and how defects lead to violations and Out-of-Service conditions. The course provides practical insight into how equipment issues are identified in real-world inspections and how those findings impact compliance. The goal of this training is to provide participants with the knowledge needed to recognize equipment deficiencies, understand inspection criteria, and maintain vehicles in compliance with DOT standards.
